Christ United Methodist Church actively supports and participates in a wide variety of local, regional, national and international outreach ministries. Some are ministries of our church (designated by *) while others are outside agencies. We encourage our congregation to find a place where they can share their gifts and talents with others and live out of our identity as a church who builds relationships with God’s hurting world. *Alternative Giving Fair - Opportunity to purchase goods and make donations in honor of others to support missions, coming in early December. Contact
Barefoot Republic Camp - A Christian summer camp that seeks to build friendship between diverse students across racial, socioeconomic and cultural boundaries. Contact
Bethlehem Centers - Promoting self reliance and positive choices for disadvantaged Nashville youth and senior citizens. Contact
Building Lives/The Academy - Building Lives transitions homeless veterans to sustained independent living. Academy is a group home for homeless veterans that provides life skills training and after 9-12 months provides the path to independent living. Contact
Center for Living and Learning - Residential 24-hour program of care and Vocational Training for people with mental illness on a 30-acre farm in Leipers Fork area. Contact
*Christ’s Closet - Collecting good quality clothing to help those in need. Contact
Community Care Fellowship - Providing meals for Nashville’s homeless on the second Sunday of each month. Contact
Compassion International - Support a child in a developing country in Jesus’ name. Contact
Gentry’s Educational Foundation - “Teach me (a child) to fish and I will eat for a lifetime!” Children in the city of Franklin are given the needed instruction to fill the gaps in learning but more importantly, they are given guidance and mentoring to realize their full potential. Contact
Graceworks - Sharing the grace of God by giving basic necessities to Williamson County residents in need. Contact
Habitat for Humanity - Helping to provide affordable housing in Williamson County. Contact
Harvest Hands - Community Development Corporation in South Nashville where our youth volunteer as mentors/tutors on a weekly basis. Contact
*Hearts and Hands Day of Service - An annual one day, project-driven, community-based event to support our ministry partners and others in God’s hurting world. Projects are staffed through church-wide volunteer sign-ups. All are welcome and families are encouraged to participate! Contact
Miriam’s Promise - Adoption and counseling services for mothers and families. Contact
My Friend’s House - Serves teenage boys who struggle with emotional issues, substance abuse issues, unruly and delinquent behavior, physical and emotional abuse, or come from an environment of dependency and neglect. My Friend’s House offers a safe and secure environment to grow and develop, with a balance of structure, support, nurturing and love. Contact
*Nicaragua Project - Christ United Methodist Church community to community ministry that seeks long-term involvement from individuals to be participants in ongoing projects in Nicaragua that foster life, give hope, and help to bring about a world where peace and justice are attained in tangible ways. You may not be able to change the whole world…but you can change the whole world for somebody. Contact
Open Table - Non-profit organization working to find short- and long-term solutions to Nashville’s homeless population. Contact
*Pen Pal Program - Connecting male and female inmates at local prisons with Christ UMC pen pals. Contact
*P.R.I.D.E. Fund - Assisting students at local vocational schools with books, supplies and emergency expenses. Contact
*Prison Ministry - Ministering to inmates through Bible study and mentoring. Contact
Raise The Roof - Raise the Roof Inc. works in rural villages of East Africa that have been hard-hit by HIV/AIDS and Malaria. We build, outfit and resource permanent village schools through the Raise the Roof Child Sponsorship and Native Leader Sponsorship Programs. Our mission is to teach and to nurture orphan and at-risk children. Contact

Room In The Inn - Hosting a group of Nashville’s homeless community, now including families, every Thursday night from November through March. Contact
61st Avenue UMC - A sister congregation that seeks to follow Christ in the low-income “Nations” neighborhood of West Nashville— sharing God’s love, sowing seeds of hope, and reaping a harvest of joy. The Last Minute Toy Store is part of this ministry. Contact
