Here are some of the Events we have going on at & through the church:

 

Ladies Night Out, April 17

The next Ladies Night Out is on Tuesday, April 17th. All are welcome to join us at 6:30 pm at the Sportman’s Grille, 1640 Westgate Circle, Brentwood. RSVP to Ann Saffell or Margaret Fortney.

 

Church Work Day, April 21

Our annual day to volunteer for clean up, repair, and upkeep duties on our building and property is Saturday, April 21. We will start at 8:45 am in the small sanctuary with a moment of prayer and maybe a biscuit or two. Project teams will then get started around 9am. Please sign up here.

 

Celebration of God’s Creation Day, April 22

Join us in the pavilion area behind the church from Noon until 2pm for earth-centric activities, crafts, food, music, and more. Bring your own lunch (please plan to pack in and pack out, to be environmentally conscious!) or choose one of the lunch wraps we’ll have on hand! There is also an educational session during the Sunday School hour on creative ways to deal with “stuff” you don’t want—our own Eric Stuckey, Franklin City Administrator, will discuss recycling. JOY Club April Outing, April 26

The next JOY Club trip is to bountiful Bell Buckle for lunch. We will leave the church at 9:30 am on Thursday, April 26th. This event is currently full.

 

Talent Show, May 5

Join us in the Sanctuary on Saturday evening, May 5 at 7pm for this year’s Talent Show. All proceeds benefit the Youth Choir’s 2018 Summer Tour. There will be lots of great acts, and yummy treats!! Mark your calendar and come out at be entertained…

 

Blood Drive, May 6

The next Christ UMC blood drive is on Sunday, May 6.  Please sign up in the Narthex on Sunday, April 22 or April 29. Thank you in advance for giving blood to the Red Cross!

 

Book Club, May 20

The next Christ UMC Book Club will meet on Sunday, May 20 at 4pm at the Cool Springs Panera Bread. Sally Fowlks will lead our discussion of Gilead by Marilynne Robinson. Hope to see you all there! For info contact Janet Phellps.
