Special Events

Throughout the year, Christ UMC provides special opportunities to deepen relationships with Christ, with one other and with God’s hurting world through special events. To see which events are upcoming, please visit our Events page.

Wednesday Night Together – this mid-week event is held during the school year in the Fellowship Hall from 5:15 to 6:15 for a meal together. Afterwards, many attend a Bible study or small group, participate in choir activities or other scheduled events and meetings.

All Church Retreat – this annual event invites the entire congregation to spend a weekend at Beersheba Springs Methodist Assembly in Altamont, Tennessee for a time of relaxation, rest, fun, food, worship, and fellowship.

Strawberry Festival – a bi-annual strawberry-themed fundraising event (the next one is in 2013) that benefits Habitat for Humanity and Youth Missions. The event is held in May and includes a dinner, silent and live auctions, children’s activities, bake sale, live music, and dessert contest.

Trunk or Treat – a celebration near Halloween where the parking lot is filled with decorated cars and church members giving out candy and other treats for our children to enjoy.

Fellowship Events – a few times each year, we will have events designed to help foster friendships among church members. These events range from Sounds games, trivia contests, potluck meals, and concerts.

Softball – our church fields a softball team each year in the spring that competes in a local recreation league.
