We Are About Relationships
If you are new to Christ UMC or are exploring this website to learn more about who we are as a congregation, we hope that you are finding plenty of helpful information. In this portion of the website, you’ll get an idea of “Who We Are” and “What We Believe.” However, the best way to learn about the congregation and our ministries is to come and worship with us on Sunday morning. You can find directions and worship times here, too. Please feel free to contact us by email or telephone if you have any questions at all.
We believe in a God of grace who loves us unconditionally. There is nothing we have done or can do to earn that love, and nothing will ever separate us from it. We believe God’s grace was revealed fully in Jesus Christ, who lived, died and was raised from the dead. His life, death and resurrection set us free from sin and empower us to love as God loves. We believe Jesus is present to all God’s children through the power of the Holy Spirit. We believe that the scriptures are best understood when they are read and interpreted within a community of faith. We also believe the church is the Body of Christ in the world, meant to do as Jesus did by, among many things, feeding the hungry, welcoming the outcast, sharing our possessions, offering healing and hope to the lost, and sharing the witness of faith.
